More on tellmelo

Just read that some guy from Germany won a whole island in a Haribo contest years ago and is now selling it. Honestly I don't even know how I feel about that. Part of me thinks he's crazy, the other part gets it… like what do you actually do with an island? You'd have to get there first, then maintain everything. Still, imagine telling people "yeah I own an island, won it with gummy bears". Would you keep it?

End-to-end encryption is coming tomorrow 🔒 A huge upgrade for your direct messages lands on tellmelo tomorrow. How it works - Your key is created on your device. Your messages get locked there before they ever leave your phone or browser. - On our server they're just scrambled data. Not even we can read them. - You protect everything with a 6-digit PIN. Without it, nobody gets in, us included. What you get - It's optional. Turn it on whenever you want. - In the apps your device remembers it. In the browser you choose: every time, 7 days or 30 days. - Push notifications only say "New message", never the content. - Your chat partner hasn't turned it on yet? Send them an invite with one tap. - Want only encrypted chats? You can choose to only receive messages from people who use it too. For now this covers text messages. Reporting a message still works: in that case you deliberately send us the text yourself.

would you rather: 🅰️ sing everything you say for a whole day 🅱️ have every text you send autocorrect one random word into "banana" ©️ skip both and only communicate in GIFs for a week

the person who decided that tuesday is a real day and not just "monday part 2" has a lot to answer for.

What tellmelo does differently

You set the algorithm. And see what it leaves out.

Sliders decide what’s at the top.

No ads. No data sales.

Your data isn’t used for advertising and isn’t sold.

No banner. There is nothing to consent to.

No tracking, no ad identifiers.

Counters off. Nothing that pulls you back.

Quiet mode hides reaction counts. Sounds only play if you turn them on.
