Sneak peek: tellmelo 1.0 is coming 
We're on the final stretch to version 1.0. Here's a first look at what's changing.
A whole new protection system
We rebuilt our security from the ground up:
- Attacks are recognized automatically: fake login pages bots try to find, searches for hidden files, code sneaked into addresses, and repeated login attempts.
- Attackers get blocked in steps: 15 minutes, a day, or 30 days.
- For this we only store a scrambled fingerprint of the address, never the full one, and only for 30 days.
- If something big happens, we can lock down sensitive areas like payments or data export within seconds.
- Our database now runs with its own restricted account, and any unknown connection to it is detected and reported to our team right away.
Safer from fake accounts
Someone claims to work for a company, an authority or for tellmelo, without proof? Their account gets a red "!" next to the name. Tap it, and you'll see "not confirmed". Once they're verified, it's gone.
Winter is coming to tellmelo, from December 1st
Brand-new winter scenes in your feed: falling snow, a little village at night, a sleigh passing by now and then. And on every Advent Sunday, a special Advent theme with candles and a string of lights.
The tellmelo Advent calendar
From December 1st to 24th, a new door opens every day with a small task, like writing a post with #advent, following someone new or replying to a few posts.
Every door you open gives you a gift: sparks, supporter months and 6 exclusive looks you can only get here.
Open all of them and you'll collect gifts worth more than €100 in tellmelo value.
€100 raffle on Christmas Eve
Open at least 16 of the doors 1–23, and on December 24th you can enter the raffle for €100 (PayPal or voucher).
- Free to join, no purchase needed. Sparks or a subscription don't improve your chances.
- 18 or older, account created before December 1st.
- Drawn openly on December 24th at 7pm with a public random number. Everyone can check the result themselves.
A shop that changes every week
Every week, 3 packs rotate into the shop, with a countdown until Monday. Plus new looks for the cozy season.

Who is Mandy? 
Maybe you've already seen her around: Mandy is the system of tellmelo, now with her own face.
What she does
- Checks links before posts go online, so nothing harmful gets through
- Welcomes new members under their first post
- Shares what's going on, like the weekly challenge or a post everyone's talking about
- Sends you gentle reminders, if you want them
What she is not
Mandy is not an AI. She doesn't chat, doesn't invent anything. She works with fixed rules and simple numbers. Her texts are written by our team, she just puts them together.
You're in control
You can mute her, turn off her reminders, and tap "Why?" on anything she does to see the reason.
Every post from Mandy is marked "created automatically · not AI".

New for supporters: custom post links
Pick your own name for your post's link, as long as it's still free. For example:

Everyone sees that link on your post and can share it with exactly that unique address.
Without a subscription, your posts get a short random link automatically.
End-to-end encryption is live 
The update is out. After the server restart, tellmelo was offline for about 3 minutes. Sorry for the short break, and thanks for your patience!
From now on you can end-to-end encrypt your chats, in the browser and in our apps.
What that means
- Your messages are locked on your device before they're sent.
- On our server they're just scrambled data. Not even we can read them.
- Only you and the person you're chatting with can unlock them, with your 6-digit PIN.
How to start
Open a chat, turn on encryption and set your PIN. Your chat partner hasn't turned it on yet? Send them an invite with one tap.
Good to know
- It's optional and currently covers text messages.
- Push notifications only show "New message", never the content.
- You can choose to only get messages from people who use encryption too.
Private chats should stay private. That's how it's always been meant to be.
