The EU Commission has proposed the "EU KIDS Act". Children under 13 would not be allowed on social media at all. 13- and 14-year-olds could only use "mini accounts" through their parents, limited to one hour of screen time a day. From 15, teens could open their own accounts. Platforms would also have to be "safe by design". That means addictive features like endless scrolling would have to go. The rules would cover social media, video apps, online games and AI chatbots. It's still only a proposal. The EU Parliament and member states have to agree first. Good to know: tellmelo already works this way. - Under 13? No account. - 13 to 15? Only with a parent's approval. - Your own account starts at 16, one year later than the EU plan. - We ask for your date of birth once to check your age, and we never store it. Good idea or too much? What do you think? #EU #SocialMedia #KidsAct #Tech #tellmelo
