Favorite Notification When the phone beeps and the screen lights up I turn my head to look it in the face, And when I see your name on it, My face automatically lights up, As my heart skips a beat, Readying itself for what lies ahead. When your name pops up It wipes the slate of all my worries clean, Everything around me completely disappears, And all that is left, is you, me, and my unbreakable smile My heart senses it too, Even without looking, sometimes I automatically know its you on the other end, So even though I'm tired, My brain remembers it not and freshens up, Like I just woke up from a peaceful sleep. So if you wonder why, I always pop up when you send a message, It is all because, You are my favorite notification. One I will drop everything for, Reorder my day for, Who paints a smile on my face, Puts a pause on whatever lies before my face, One I can't get enough of. © Joshua Precious

A lot of us more often than we ought to, tend to judge others purely based on our perspective. However, even though truth is absolute, human perspective is not. The choices both we and other people do are filtered throught a myriad of factors, each affecting how we see the decision before us and ultimately how we make our choice. However in our self righteousness we tend to forego the nuances and attribute motives, purely based on our opinions, our perspective, to the choices other people, and judge them based on those. Although context does not necessarily always make right things wrong or wrong things right, seeing things from other people's perspectives will bring much needed context to how we evaluate the decisions others make. It is how we avoid attributing malice where no malice is meant. Attributing motives that never existed in the first place.
Hello Everyone, so I just wanted to do a short intro. My name is Joshua Precius. I am above all a follower of Jesus Christ and I believe that is is through him that I was saved from death as the punishement for my sins and through him I have an abundant life. Subsequently I am also a poet. I write on various topics including Christian topics, romance and other general topics. Turnstile A hallway of obstacles A maze looking to be solved Like a Rubik's cube, To be turned and turned Until it all fits in place My standing position is always closed Stuck in place -> turned and tuned, A glimpse of fresh air A warm embrace, a moment of release And then, back to my position Why do I only have a moment with you? Oh shining light, Oh warm embrace Why do you never last? When the chair gets your day, The bed all your night! I stay on your way, Far away from where you would rather be, And only get a slight moment of joy, A rushed touch, as you move on to better things When will I ever get your warmth for more than a second? I cry and cry, But no one is here to listen. I pray and pray, Is there anyone up there? Can anyone see and wipe my tears? When will I know the joy that I see on everyone's face? When they hold hands and move step in step across the road. The joy on the kids' faces as they play in the park The joy in the voice of the birds as they sing, Chirping away all their troubles So here I am nurturing the little hope I have left. Maybe one day I will be more than just a tool. Maybe one day you will see me. Smile at me, maybe a subtle wave, A hand held firmly with love. When I hope I can't help but let out a little smile, Even though I can only imagine. I know there is someone who sees me, Smiles at me, values me, Meticulously care for everything about me. So when others turn and turn, I know he sees me as a son, Loves me beyond the disregard I get, And that one day, We will hold hands and start our forever. ©️Joshua Precious
