genuine question for everyone using tellmelo: what do you actually want from it? a feature you're missing, something that annoys you, something you'd change tomorrow if you could. big or small, i read every reply 💖

honestly i think Mastodon had the right idea about how social media should work. no ads, no algorithm deciding everything for you, run by people instead of a giant company but instead of building one place for everyone, they built thousands of separate servers. so now every opinion lives in its own little corner, and you only really meet the people who already think like you the whole point of social media should be that different people end up in the same room. even when they disagree. maybe especially then

Hello Everyone, so I just wanted to do a short intro. My name is Joshua Precius. I am above all a follower of Jesus Christ and I believe that is is through him that I was saved from death as the punishement for my sins and through him I have an abundant life. Subsequently I am also a poet. I write on various topics including Christian topics, romance and other general topics. I have dabbled in short stories ( I wrote only 3 stories so far but that is not my primary forte in writing). I have a personal blog where I post my writings ( https://joshuaprecious.qzz.io ) please feel free to check it out. I am also a web developer. I have built several websites in a proffesional settings and some as hobby projects. I run a Christian Server over on discord. ( https://discord.com/invite/G4RyzUrN6F) It is a server centralised on discussions and building a constructive fellowship environement for Christians. However the server is also open to people of all faiths or none at all who are looking to learn more about Christianity. I am currently also building a discord bot for server management. I currently use the on my server for server management. It is an open source bot that you can self host yourself. You can check it out here. What tellmelo does differently
You set the algorithm. And see what it leaves out.
Sliders decide what’s at the top.
No ads. No data sales.
Your data isn’t used for advertising and isn’t sold.
No banner. There is nothing to consent to.
No tracking, no ad identifiers.
Counters off. Nothing that pulls you back.
Quiet mode hides reaction counts. Sounds only play if you turn them on.
