read The Midnight Library by Matt Haig if you: - ever lay awake thinking "what if I had done X instead" - like books you can finish in a weekend - don't mind a bit of philosophy wrapped in a simple story skip it if you hate books that tell you how to feel. for me it was the right book at the right time. it's past midnight now, which feels fitting.

reread Tschick by Wolfgang Herrndorf this week. in english it's called "Why We Took the Car". two 14 year old outsiders, a stolen Lada, summer holidays, no plan. that's it. had to read it in school back then and thought it was just ok. reading it again now as an adult hits completely different. it's funny, but it's also about that one summer where everything felt possible. german classic. short. go.
unpopular opinion maybe: I didn't love The Alchemist. everyone told me it would change my life. a shepherd boy, a dream, a treasure, following your "personal legend". it's short, it's pretty, it reads like a fairy tale. but halfway through it started feeling like a motivational poster that turned into a book. that said, one line stuck with me anyway, the one about the whole universe helping you once you really want something. I don't believe it. but I kind of want to. read it on a sunday, judge for yourself.
Atomic Habits by James Clear. the quick version: 👍 actually practical. small changes, 1% better every day, make the good habit easy and the bad one annoying 👍 short chapters, easy to read on the train 👎 could've been half as long, he repeats himself a lot 👎 if you've read any productivity stuff before, some of it feels familiar still changed one thing for me: I put my phone in another room at night now. sleeping way better. worth it if you've never read a book like this. skip it if you've read ten.
1 sofa, preferably the soft one 1 blanket, slightly too big 2 episodes of something you've already seen five times 1 snack you said you wouldn't buy this week Instructions: Combine everything. Do not check your emails. Let it rest until midnight. Serves: one very tired person.
I believe 2 brothers can grow in the same home with the same parents and still have 2 completely different childhood experiences...

Arrr, Thursday be upon us, ye scallywags! The weekend be but two sunrises away. Hold fast to yer coffee mugs, avoid the cursed meetings, and may yer inbox stay calm as the open sea. Now hoist the sails and get back to work. Or don't. I'm a pirate, not yer captain.
