More on tellmelo

Turnstile A hallway of obstacles A maze looking to be solved Like a Rubik's cube, To be turned and turned Until it all fits in place My standing position is always closed Stuck in place -> turned and tuned, A glimpse of fresh air A warm embrace, a moment of release And then, back to my position Why do I only have a moment with you? Oh shining light, Oh warm embrace Why do you never last? When the chair gets your day, The bed all your night! I stay on your way, Far away from where you would rather be, And only get a slight moment of joy, A rushed touch, as you move on to better things When will I ever get your warmth for more than a second? I cry and cry, But no one is here to listen. I pray and pray, Is there anyone up there? Can anyone see and wipe my tears? When will I know the joy that I see on everyone's face? When they hold hands and move step in step across the road. The joy on the kids' faces as they play in the park The joy in the voice of the birds as they sing, Chirping away all their troubles So here I am nurturing the little hope I have left. Maybe one day I will be more than just a tool. Maybe one day you will see me. Smile at me, maybe a subtle wave, A hand held firmly with love. When I hope I can't help but let out a little smile, Even though I can only imagine. I know there is someone who sees me, Smiles at me, values me, Meticulously care for everything about me. So when others turn and turn, I know he sees me as a son, Loves me beyond the disregard I get, And that one day, We will hold hands and start our forever. ©️Joshua Precious

honestly i think Mastodon had the right idea about how social media should work. no ads, no algorithm deciding everything for you, run by people instead of a giant company but instead of building one place for everyone, they built thousands of separate servers. so now every opinion lives in its own little corner, and you only really meet the people who already think like you the whole point of social media should be that different people end up in the same room. even when they disagree. maybe especially then

Ever wondered what someone else's feed looks like? On tellmelo you can lend your feed to a friend. Create a link, send it, and for one hour they see your feed exactly the way you see it: same order, same topics, same vibe. Don't worry, nothing private gets shared. Your messages, hidden groups and anything blocked stay off-limits. They only borrow how your feed is sorted, not what you're allowed to see. After an hour the link stops working, and you can take it back anytime before that. Perfect Sunday experiment: swap feeds with a friend and see who has the better taste 😄

Hello everyone! 👋

What tellmelo does differently

You set the algorithm. And see what it leaves out.

Sliders decide what’s at the top.

No ads. No data sales.

Your data isn’t used for advertising and isn’t sold.

No banner. There is nothing to consent to.

No tracking, no ad identifiers.

Counters off. Nothing that pulls you back.

Quiet mode hides reaction counts. Sounds only play if you turn them on.
